Tyler is a senior advisor at Norwest Venture Partners, providing counsel to Norwest’s portfolio companies in the areas of growth marketing, analytics, and team building. He has advised 500+ CEOs and CMOs on how to hit their growth goals, helping to uncover growth impediments and accelerate growth most commonly through product innovation (either core functionality or product-led growth), performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, eCommerce optimization, and team improvements.

Tyler is the founder and CEO of Right Side Up, a marketing consultancy that provides the most ambitious companies with growth strategy, organizational design guidance, and execution resources, including executive-level fractional talent, strategic and flexible agency teams, and one or more pinch-hitting marketing freelancers. They work with all company stages, from helping seed-stage companies understand and achieve product market fit to partnering with publicly traded companies to reach best-in-class scale. Clients include DoorDash, Coinbase, Google, Ro, Calm, Instacart, Yahoo, Fitbit, IDEO, Yelp, Stitch Fix, Sephora, Sun Bum, Grubhub, Stripe, MongoDB, and Segment.

Prior to founding Right Side Up, he held a variety of Director and VP Marketing roles, including early-stage companies (Catalog Choice, TrustedID), hypergrowth (Eventbrite), and late-stage (Equifax). His experience with growth marketing tactics and strategies applied at every stage has enabled him to speak credibly with a wide range of CEOs and marketing leaders. He also founded and raised capital for a marketplace venture in the automotive space (Carsala). He began his career as a consultant at Accenture.

Tyler has split his professional life between California and Texas. He earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and resided in the East Bay for 14 years. While at Berkeley, he won the Berkeley Business Plan Competition. He earned a BBA from Baylor University and currently resides in Austin, Texas.
