Ed joined Norwest in 2012 to partner with founders who are building the next generation of companies in the consumer internet space. As a partner, he makes seed, early, and late-stage investments in a range of areas including commerce, marketplaces, hardware-enabled services, and fintech.
Prior to Norwest, Ed was the co-founder and President of Spree Network Inc., an early social commerce network where he led sales and marketing. Before Spree, Ed spent four years with the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Group at Evercore Partners in New York and London. In this role, Ed executed and analyzed mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and leveraged buyout opportunities in the technology, media, and telecom sectors.
Ed is actively involved in the Bay Area startup community and currently serves as a mentor with Plug and Play’s Startup Camp. He was also a co-founder of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum, which has grown into an entrepreneurial network with more than 500 members. Ed obtained a bachelor of arts degree in both economics and environmental studies from Dartmouth College.
